About This Assessment

This assessment is designed to help you evaluate your current growth across the six marks of a biblical disciple. These marks are drawn from Matthew 4:19 and a broader framework of discipleship. This is not a pass or fail tool. It is a means of honest self-evaluation so you and your disciple-maker can identify where you are strong and where you need to grow.

For each statement, select the number that most honestly reflects where you are right now. Be truthful. The goal is not to look good on paper but to identify where God is calling you to grow.

Mark 1: Saving Faith

Key Passage: Ephesians 2:8-9

Mark 2: Surrender to Christ as Lord

Key Passage: Luke 9:23 — "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."

Mark 3: Transformation by the Spirit

Key Passage: Romans 12:2

Mark 4: Rooted in Scripture

Mark 5: Connected to the Body of Christ

Key Passage: Hebrews 10:24-25 — "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." | Ephesians 4:11-16
Discipleship does not happen in isolation. God designed the local church as the primary environment for spiritual formation.

Mark 6: Missional Engagement

Key Passage: Matthew 28:19-20 — "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
